Langenargen
Langenargen is a sleepy, lovable town far away from through traffic and with only 7,000 inhabitants.
Langenargen developed from a fishing village to a vacation resort, but is still a popular residential town in close vicinity to the industrial and trade fair city of Friedrichshafen. The beautiful castle and former summer residence of the Austrian Dukes of Montfort is the landmark of Langenargen.
A small museum also mirrors the interest and affection earlier artists felt for this town. Characterized by works from Purrmann, Maulbertsch, and Wocher, even the town itself displays obvious influences from the baroque era.
