The lovingly prepared specialties served in our restaurant are inspired by down-to-earth Swabian cuisine. Our menu always includes traditional dishes from Upper Swabia, such as “Maultaschen” (Swabian version of ravioli, but typically larger in size) and Spätzle (German egg noodles), but is also continually enhanced with seasonal ingredients like asparagus and wild garlic.

Our head cook is an expert at preparing light dishes featuring freshly caught  fish from the nearby Lake Constance, as well as concocting popular, hearty stews from the Allgäu.

Regional wines:

As the name states, the area surrounding the village of Weingarten and Ravensburg has been a center of viticulture since the 12th century. The wine-growing tradition directly on the lake is even older; wine has been grown at Lake Constance since Roman times. Not far from Weingarten are the well-known wine growing areas of Meersburg, Immenstaad, Markdorf, and Friedrichshafen.

The sunny slopes surrounding Lake Constance produce first-class white wines like Müller-Thurgau and Pinot blanc. Of the red wines, Pinot Noir prospers best in the area’s Mediterranean-like maritime climate. During your vacation, treat yourself to a good glass of wine while taking in the charming atmosphere of our family-run establishment.
