Our AKZENT Hotel Strandhalle is idyllically and quietly located in the inner city of the wonderful culture city of Schleswig, directly on the yacht marina.
All must-see highlights are in short walking distance from the hotel, like the Schleswig-Holstein State Museum in Gottorf Castle, the Princes’ Garden with the Globushaus (globe house), the Old Town with its St. Johannis Monastery and St. Peter’s Cathedral, and the Holm fishermen’s quarter.
We’re also the ideal starting point for explorations of the Viking Museum in Haithabu or a boat ride on the Schlei inlet. From the comfortable and stylish restaurant, banquet, and conference rooms, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Baltic Sea Fjord Schlei and our hotel pier.

Why? Because Schleswig is not only home to fascinating cultural monuments and museums, but also to cozy places, streets, and paths perfectly suited for leisurely strolls.
But our journey of discovery will first take us far back in time; Schleswig is, after all, one of oldest cities in the Baltic Sea region. The Sliesthorp settlement was mentioned as early as 804 in the Royal Franconian Annals. The settlement on the Schlei, also known as Haithabu, developed into a blossoming trade metropolis during the Viking Age.

The surrounding area invites you to go on long bike tours and walks, for example on the historical Ox Trail or the extensive trail network of the Ostsee Laufküste (Baltic Sea Walking Coast).
