The AKZENT Hotel Goldner Stern and the Sternla Conference Hotel are rich in tradition and located in the “land of knights, castles, and villages”, a.k.a. the “Franconian Switzerland” in Upper Franconia and Bavaria, one of most popular travel destinations in Germany.
We are as committed to tradition as we are to keeping our establishment and amenities up-to-date, and are proud to offer a new wellness area and conference hotel with the most modern technology.

Whatever it is you need, we can deliver in the best possible quality for events with up to 500 guests in the Forchheim/Franconian Switzerland/Upper Franconia area.
If you’d like to stay on the safe side, simply rent our party barn. Here you can celebrate in a rustic ambience, either in a courtyard between two barns in nice weather or in the large, spacious barn in bad weather.

Our 4-star branch hotel, Hotel Sternla, is also equipped for hosting meetings, seminars, workshops, and conferences.
The Sternla, located a few short steps away from our main hotel building, offers a very bright, friendly, air-conditioned conference room that is equipped with the most modern technology and dividable into 3 separate parts, thus opening up various setup possibilities. Possibilities include forming a large meeting hall with two meeting rooms or 3 completely separate conference rooms made possible by the soundproof partitions. Our attractive conference packages also apply to the Hotel Sternla.
With room capacity for up to 80 people and special furnishings, we can give you what you need for a successful workday: excellent professional furniture, internet connection via WLAN, and conventional LAN telephone conference capabilities.
Guests can reenergize in our lovely break room on the same floor, equipped with a gourmet coffee machine and an amazing view of the Muggendorf Mountains.
Our trained employees provide professional service, and you can enjoy the room’s pavilion and garden, as well as the convenience of having restroom facilities on the same floor.

Climatic Spa Muggendorf / Markt Wiesenttal Municipality
The towns of Muggendorf and Streitberg are this region’s oldest climatic spa resorts; since 1972, they belong to the new Markt Wiesenttal municipality along with several other towns. Since early 1999, Muggendorf is a low-traffic area thanks to the B470 bypass.
It was 250 years ago that spectacular findings of extinct species’ bones were discovered in the numerous caves surrounding Muggendorf; many researchers and scholars soon flocked to the area, marking the beginning of tourism in the city. The Bing Cave in Streitberg remains a popular excursion destination to this day and is located only a few minutes away from Muggendorf.Franconian Switzerland lies in the 3-city triangle of Nuremberg, Bamberg, and Bayreuth and is considered one of the most popular vacation destinations in Germany.
